Education background/qualification-
The minimum educational qualification for a constable, driver, carpentry post, or cook in the police department will differ from higher posts like Sub Inspector, or Assistant Sub Inspector. A graduation degree or any degree equivalent to it is the minimum degree required for these posts. For example, after completing B.tech if the candidate has a change of heart and decides to apply for the Sub Inspector Post, he will not be required to study another 3 or 4 years of course in general line. His B.tech degree is sufficient to apply for the post. In the case of constable, or other lower-grade posts, the minimum educational qualification is 12th, 10th, or 8th passed.

Age limit-
The minimum age to apply for these posts is 18 (except for the posts that require graduation or an equivalent degree) and the maximum age can go up to 27 but relaxation is applicable under the rules.

Physical status-
Working for the defense and security force department will require to meet some physical proportion measurements according to their standard scale. Knowing this is important because this will be examined after the candidate clears the first round/written test. If the candidate learns his or her measurement is not aligned with the requirement set by the recruiting board, refrain from going forward with the registration because written test clearance is not sufficient in the force department. Physical tests are as important as written tests. They may wait for other opportunities.

The registration fee will be Rs 100 for the Unreserved and OBC category and the other candidates from different reservations will not be required to pay for the registration, although a certificate proof will be asked for during the registration.
