The nationality eligibility cum entrance exam (NEET), formerly known as the All-India Pre-Medial Test (AIPMT), is a national-level medical entrance examination that is conducted by the national testing agency. As it’s a mandatory exam for admission to a medical program, that makes it the biggest exam in India in terms of the number of applicants. In 4 subjects, there are 45 questions: physics, chemistry, botany, and zoology. in total, there are 180 questions. The time given to the candidates for the exam is 3 hours and 20 minutes and the exam is of 720 marks in total.
2. NEET PG
The national eligibility cum entrance test (postgraduate) is a national-level entrance exam for postgraduate medical courses in India. National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences conducts the NEET PG exam. Once a person clears it, they can get admission to postgraduate medical programs in government or private medical colleges based on their merit. Some of the courses candidates look forward to are Doctor of Medicine (MD), master of Surgery (MS), DIPLOMA OF NATIONAL BOARD, DIPLOMA OF NATIONAL BOARD, and NBEMS DIPLOMA. NEET PG replaced the all-India postgraduate medical entrance examination (AIPGMEE). This is a computer-based test, while UG is pen-and-paper-based. This exam has 200 questions. And the time given to exam takers is 3.5 hours.
The Manipal Entrance Test is an entrance examination conducted by the Manipal Academy of Higher Education in online mode. This exam allows candidates to get a chance to get admission into various courses at Manipal University. Previously, this exam was known as the Manipal University Online Entrance Exam. This is a 2-hour exam where there are 4 sections on different subjects, namely physics, chemistry, mathematics, and English.
4. INI CET
The Institutes of National Importance Combined Entrance test (IINICET) is an exam for postgraduate medical students. By clearing this, they can get admission into some elite medical colleges in India. Such as the AIIMS, New Delhi.
Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Puducherry (JIPMER), and nine other universities and institutes. This exam covers courses like MD, MS, DM (66 years), and MDS.
5. FMGE
The Medical Council of India screening test, also known as the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination, is an exam conducted by the National Board of Examinations. This exam lets Indian citizens who did their medical degree outside of India practice in India if they clear it. This test was introduced in 2002. Indian citizens who did their medical degree in former Soviet Union countries, East European countries, China, Nepal, the Philippines, and Caribbean countries will have to take this exam to be eligible to practice in India. Once cleared, candidates can apply to the National Medical Commission of India or any state medical council for provisional or permanent registration.
6. AFMC Entrance Test

The National Eligibility and Entrance Test for Master of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) is an entrance exam for postgraduate dental courses. It’s conducted by the National Board of Examinations, and the main aim of this exam is to give those candidates a chance to get admission into some of the best postgraduate dental colleges once they qualify. They can get admissions to government, private, deemed institutions, and central universities. This exam is conducted in CBT mode with 240 questions, and the time limit is 3 hours. 8. NEET SS
The National Eligibility Cumulative Entrance Test for Super Specialty Courses is an entrance exam for admission to DM/MCh (Doctorate of Medicine/Magister Chirurgiae) and is conducted on a national level, just like every other NEET exam. This is also a computer-based test consisting of 100 multiple-choice questions with a time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes. The exam is divided into two parts. 9. CMC VELLORE ENTRANCE TEST

It’s for admission into various undergraduate and postgraduate medical courses. To be eligible for this exam, a candidate must have passed the 10+2 exams in physics, chemistry, biology/biotechnology, and English with a minimum aggregate percentage of 50% (40%) in other categories. Karnataka Common Entrance Test is an entrance exam conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) on a state level for admission into various medical, engineering, and many other courses. It’s conducted in pen-and-paper mode. The time given for each paper is 80 minutes. The exam paper has 4 sections based on the subject, such as physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics; each subject has 60 questions.
