Odisha High Court has advertised for the recruitment for the post of junior stenographer group c on their official website. The candidates who have met the eligibility criteria for this post can apply from 20 May to 28 June 2024 through the official website of Orissa High Court. Odisha HC Junior Stenographer Eligibility Criteria 2024

Below we have provided you the eligibility criteria for the post for which the candidate has been invited regarding age limit and educational qualification. We have provided the information below regarding this for your ease.

Educational criteria: Candidate must have a degree of bachelor’s in any field additionally and shorthand where the speed of the candidate must be 80 words per minute and 40 words per minute in typewriting with proper knowledge of computer will be preferred.

Age limit: The age limit of the candidate must be 21 years in minimum and not exceed 32 years according to 15 May 2024. Whereas relaxation has been given up to 5 years for sc/st/ebc / female candidates.

Odisha HC Junior Stenographer Examination Fee 2024

Those candidates have applied for the post of junior stenographer group c under the high court and have paid rupees 500 as application fees. Application p is mandatory to complete the online form process without submitting the application fee you won’t be able to submit your form. The candidate doesn’t have to pay the application fee just as for the application there is a different day defined by pdf mostly.

Odisha HC Junior Stenographer Selection Process 2024

There are three stages for the selection for which you have been preparing with full enthusiasm. As you know, qualifying tests in English have been taken for the candidates who have applied for the application form and the computer application test and skill test is going to be conducted soon. As of now, there is no update about it but the Odisha High Court will release the notification for the two processes soon.

(A) Qualifying Test in English

There will be a written test that will be for 1.5 hours. The test will be of hundred marks whereas the marking scheme for the Asian and English languages will be 20 marks for translation from Odia to English for 20 marks and the retranslation from English to Odia will be 40 marks. I candidate will be for the knowledge of English grammar which will be of 20 marks.

  • Translation from Odia to English: 20 Marks
  • Re-translation from English to Odia: 40 Marks
  •  English Grammar: 20 Marks

Question Type: Descriptive

The descriptive exam will include essay writing and translation grammar in the English language.

(B) Computer Application Test:

CBT test will be conducted practical and return for which the duration will be one hour 30 minutes for theory and 30 minutes for the skill marks. The total marks for this examination is a hundred while the question will be of both objective and subjective type.

 

Sections:

The theory section will include knowledge of MS Access World XL PowerPoint file uploading internet operation and downloading. This will be a skill test practically on the computer for which the medium is defined, English.

(C) Skill Test:

Mode: Practical Test

Now this third part of the test will be a skill test in which the candidate will have to show their shorthand dictation for 15 minutes and their typewriting and transcription speed for 10 minutes. If a candidate makes more than 10% mistake in typing transcription or shorthand he will not be considered selected.

Now the candidate will have to write a dictation passage of 400 words for which the candidate will get 100 marks. Every correct word will get a 0.25 mark. Dictation for the shorthand test will be for a minute where the candidate will have to write a word and the typing test will be for 1 minute with the candidate having to write 40 words in English.
