Indian Army Agniveer Salary: In-hand

Agniveers in the Indian Army shall receive a net monthly salary of ₹21,000 for 2024. This amount consists of various allowances but does not arrive as separate payments such as Dearness Allowance (DA) or Military Service Pay (MSP). In addition to the basic pay scale fixed for them, Agniveers would receive Risk and Hardship allowances applicable to all branches of armed forces into whose fold they fall. They are not required to contribute towards Armed Forces Personnel Provident Fund or any other kind of Provident Fund; thus making them ineligible for gratuity or pension benefits. Nor do they qualify under Army Group Insurance Fund (AGIF) schemes. Nevertheless, after serving for four years, Agniveers would be entitled to a one-time ‘Seva Nidhi’ package.4 This would comprise their own contributions plus interest with the Government also making an additional matching contribution to it.

Indian Army Agniveer Salary: Annual Package

The candidates who have been chosen for the Agniveer project of the Indian Air Force will be given a bespoke monthly stipend of ₹30,000 during their initial year of service. Indian Army Agniveer Compensation 2024

In accordance with official sources, the overall payment of approximately ₹1.65 crore for Agniveers comprises:

Insurance: ₹48 lahks from the central government and ₹50 lahks from financial institutes under a MoU.

  • Ex Gratia: ₹44 lakh in cases of death as a result of military service or aggravated by it.
