About
Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, originally known as the Avadh University of Ayodhya was established by the Uttar Pradesh government. It was renamed as Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University in memory of Dr Ram Manohar Lohia, a freedom fighter from Avadh. It assumed the shape of an affiliated-cum-residential University in 1984 and offers a multitude of courses to students of Bachelors and masters degrees. It has 134 degree colleges affiliated to it across Ambedkar Nagar, Amethi, Ayodhya, Bahraich, Balrampur, Barabanki, Farrukhabad, Firozabad, Gonda, Lucknow, Pratapgarh, Raebareli, Shravasti & Sultanpur.
