BSF Tradesman Eligibility Criteria 2024
Candidates have to fulfill certain educational and age criteria to be able to apply for the post of BSF tradesman.
Educational Qualification
The minimum education qualification required to be Commission that the post of BSF tradesman are :
The candidate must have at least past 10th grade from a recognised board and a recognised institution.
Age Criteria
For applying for the post of BSF tradesman candidates must be of minimum 18 years and maximum 23 years of age. Age relaxation is also provided to certain reserved categories based on the standard set by the Staff Selection Commission.

BSF Tradesman Application Fee 2024
All the candidates have to fill an application fee to fill the application form for BSF tradesman recruitment 2024.
For General/OBC/EWS categories the application fee is only ₹100
For all other categories including female candidates no application fee is chargeable
Candidates must note that the application fee can only be filled online using any online banking mode such as debit card, credit card, internet banking, E-Challan, or UPI.
BSF Tradesman Selection Procedure 2024
The BSF tradesman selection procedure consists of 6 stages in total. Candidates have to qualify each of these to be able to become a Tradesman in the Border Security Force.
Physical standards test PST – The screening of the candidates happens on the basis of a physical standards test which includes height, chest and weight measurements as per the requirements set by BSF.
Physical Efficiency Test PET – The physical Efficiency Test is a test of the candidates physical fitness which includes tasks like running, long jump, and high jump.
Document verification – This stage is where the original documents of the candidates are checked and verified.
Trade test – The trade test is a test of the candidates practical skills and trade related knowledge. Carpentry, masonry, welding for example.
Written examination – The written test checks the candidates general awareness, knowledge of mathematics and reasoning, and basic IQ.
Medical test – The candidates who have qualified on the above tests proceed for the medical examination conducted as per the criteria set by BSF.
The final selection of the candidate to the post of BSF Tradesman is based on a final merit list which is prepared after the written examination.
