Eligibility Criteria To Meet For 2024 Kolkata Police Constable Recruitment
- The candidate must be an Indian citizen holding an Indian Citizen proof ID like a PAN card, voter card, or Adhaar card.
- The candidate must be able to speak Bengali language unless they are from sub-divisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong District. They must have sufficient documents to confirm their domain.
- The candidates must be 18 or above and below 30 years. There are relaxation applied if you are from a certain reservation category.
- Every candidate applying for this role must be a ten standard passed out from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education.
The selection process to Recruit for the Kolkata Police Constable role
- There will be a written test conducted as the first step of 100 marks in 1 hour. The candidates will be tested on their General awareness and knowledge (40 marks), of elementary Mathematics basics (30 marks) and a section of reasoning (30 marks).
- Physical Measurement Test is the next step for those who qualified for the prelims round. Height, weight, and chest will be measured according to the standard scale given in their conduct book.
- After qualifying for this step, the candidates will be given another test based on their physicality which is the Physical Efficiency Test, Running is a part of it. This is to check your physical strength and endurance.
- A Final written exam will be conducted before the interview. This one will be a little tougher than the initial written test. And negative marking is there for every wrong answer. There will be a total of 100 questions out of which 85 will be multiple choice questions. The duration of this exam is 1 hour.
- Candidate ability and fluency in Bengali language will be tested in this final step of recruitment conducted by Kolkata Police Recruiting Board members. The marks from the second written exam will be counted along with the interview score before shortlisting the qualified candidate.
Pay scale of Kolkata Police Constable
