West Bengal NEET UG Counselling 2024
In 2024, West Bengal NEET counseling will use a seat allocation system with specific quotas: 15% of the seats are reserved for prospective students from different states under the All India Quota (AIQ) and 85% of them are kept for people having domicile in West Bengal. Those who are eligible must have scored well in this year’s National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) to take part in the counseling process.
Counseling will take place online and be broken down into two rounds. An additional round may also be held if there remain vacant seats after the second round. Moreover, if there are any unoccupied positions after these rounds, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will organize offline Stray/Mop-up counseling at the level of colleges to occupy the empty chairs.
West Bengal NEET UG Counselling Dates
The Counselling Schedule for West Bengal NEET for the year 2024 will be uploaded shortly to the site of the West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee. On the date of the announcement in accordance with to schedule, the interested candidates will be able to commence their online registration from 21 August 2024 for entrance into 85% state quota MBBS and BDS seats available in West Bengal. Thereafter, after completion of the registration process, the WBNEET UG merit list 2024 will be released on August 27, 2024. The seat-filling procedure will take place between 27th August and 29th August 2024.The WB NEET UG seat allotment Round 1 results will be announced on September 2, 2024.

West Bengal NEET UG Counselling 2024: Counselling process
Based on the results of NEET 2024 and seat quotas, West Bengal NEET UG Counselling 2024 will allocate 3,900 MBBS and 550 BDS seats in total. Only those candidates who are eligible to participate in the NEET UG counselling process will be allowed after registering for it by following these steps:
Registration and Payment
- Open the official website of WBMCC at wbmcc.nic.in.
- Click on ‘UG Counselling Registrations’.
- Fill up the registration form with personal and academic details therein.
- The counseling fee has to be paid through debit cards or UPI.
- Register, view, and save the registration details along with downloading a PDF copy for future reference.
Document Verification:
- The list of candidates eligible for verification will be published after the completion of registration.
- Candidates have to attend the verification center or verify online with all the required documents, viz. NEET admit card, rank card, mark sheets, proof of identity, caste/category certificate if applicable, domicile certificate, passport-sized photo.
Choice Filling and Locking:
- Login into the counseling portal.
- Enter and prioritize college preference.
- Save and lock your choices by the deadline.
Seat Allotment:
- On the basis of choices, availability, and merit rank, seats will be allotted.
- The procedure for the seat allotment includes registration, choice filling, seat allotment, result publication, and reporting.
Reporting to College:
- The candidate needs to report to the allotted college on the date mentioned.
- Pay the fees, complete the admission process, and other related formalities.
- Submit original and attested copies of documents for verification. Otherwise, the admission is canceled if the candidate fails to report himself or herself.
The counseling will be completed through three rounds in case, one extra round may be carried on if necessary. NRI candidates will be verified in Swasthya Bhaban.
