  • The Scheme can be applied by farmers who have a vulnerable household, which consists of weak, old age farmers, with any sort of disability is considered to be vulnerable.

    • The financial assistance of Rs. 25,000 has been announced for the cultivation. 
    • The farmers who are considered as the small scale farmers and marginal farmers are given the amount of Rs. 25,000.
    • The beneficiary payment of Rs. 25,000 is paid to the farmers over five seasons which is given in an Installment of Rs. 5,000 every season. 
    • The amount is directly paid to the bank account registered by the farmers who have applied for this by providing valid documents.
    • The amount can be used based on the farmer’s needs, they can use it either to purchase stuff like fertilizer, seeds, and other important things for cultivation or they can use it for labor works which is completely based on the decision of the land owner.

 

  • Assistance Provided for the Landless Agricultural Households
    • The farmers who do not possess any piece of land on their own and continue to work in the fields related to the agricultural sector are provided with the beneficiary amount of Rs. 12,500.
    • The farmers who belong to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe are majorly assisted with this financial assistance.

 

  • Beneficiary Payment for the Vulnerable Household
    • The farmers who are with any kind of disease or disorder, old age are the things considered to be Vulnerable.
    • The vulnerable farmers and agricultural laborers who work in other fields as they do not possess any piece of land are provided with financial assistance of Rs. 10,000. 

 

  • Life insurance 
    • A loan amount of Rs. 2 lakh is offered by the KALIA Scheme, a life insurance for the cultivators and the agricultural laborers who are landless. 
    • A loan of Rs. 2 lakh is also provided for the accident insurance. 
    • The loan amount is applicable for farmers between the age of 18 and 50 years.

 

  • Loan for crops 
    • All the farmers who have registered in the KALIA Scheme can apply for a loan amount to improve their cultivation. 
    • A loan amount can be obtained up to Rs. 50,000 without an interest rate of 0%.

How to Apply for KALIA Scheme

 

The application process of the KALIA should be done to receive the beneficiary payment provided by the Government of Odisha.   1. The farmers who wish to apply for the KALIA Scheme should visit the Gram Panchayat Office fill out the application form available there and submit it to the nodal officers of the Gram panchayat.
  2. The application of the farmers will be evaluated by the nodal officer who is on the level of Gram Panchayat and submit the applications for approval to the Committee of  District Level.
