According to the official notification PDF released on the official website of Northeastern Railways, a candidate must have a minimum age of 15 years and a maximum age of 24 years whereas a relaxation has been given to some candidates according to their castes.

The candidate will be eligible if he possesses an ITI certificate or starts in elementary or NTC affiliated with NCVT.
Candidate must have passed with 10th class/matriculation / SSC or any equivalent exam under the 10 + 2 examination system where he scored a minimum of 50% marks from any recognized board or institution and must have a passed degree of ITI in 11 trade-issued by estimate or NCVT that is recognized by the government of India.

A candidate belonging to the general/obc category will have to pay Rs 100 as an application fee whereas the candidates belonging to a scheduled caste or scheduled tribe will not have to pay any fee for application.
